SWEETGRASS (Wacanga)
Dried and braided Sweetgrass has been traded across the Northern plains for centuries, used in spiritual ritual and for healing. It is used in prayer and ceremony to call the Spirits, who are attracted to its sweet smell.
Sweetgrass contains coumarin, which gives it the sweet aroma, as well as its anti-coagulant properties-helping to prevent blood clots.
It can be infused as a tea or burned to cleanse and bless ones surroundings.
Our sweetgrass is hand picked and brought to us by our Cree brothers in Saskatchewan. Sold by the braid.
